Coconut fruit grows on coconut palms. Drupes hanging from the top of the tree contain coconut seed. The coconut has a hard husk and travels through the sea or by human hand to spread. Coconuts grow best near the sea, where there is plenty of rainfall.
Copra refers to the part of the coconut that is extracted for use. The inside of the coconut consists of the embryo and the endosperm, containing the meat and water. The outside of the coconut can be used to make fibrous rope and other products.
