General Description
The avocado fruit comes from an evergreen tree with oval or elliptical leaves that occur in spirals on the tree. There are different varieties of avocado, so the skin can range from green to purple and bumpy to smooth.
Avocados are best grown in subtropical or tropical climates, although it is possible to grow them in cooler areas, as well. Warm, spring soil is perfect for planting avocado trees.
