Soy sauce has many uses. This sauce makes a great marinade but is also an effective way to add a touch of flavor to stews, rice, noodles and more. Stir fry also benefits from soy sauce, although a light soy is usually used to add flavor without darkening the dish.
Types of Sauce:
• Light soy – saltier and lighter in color
• Dark soy – sweeter and thicker
• Thick soy – the thickest soy sauce and also sweeter than dark soy; popular in Taiwanese cooking.
